This video will give anyone who is unfamiliar with the culture, customs and attitudes of the unionized sector of the New York construction industry a rare glimspe into its workings. It contains footage of Union construction workers in all phases of their careers and in a variety of work and social settings.
After watching this video, you would be hard pressed to ever view organized labor as a "special interest group" again. The scenes depicting these workers and the comments they make show how they are much more a microcosm of America and its values than is normally portrayed. Above all, it tells the story of "some very ordinary men setting out to reach some extraordinary goals."
